Job summary

Ekman Associates is seeking a Data Analyst with accounting knowledge to extract and analyze financial data from systems including Salesforce. Hybrid role based in Austin, TX or Dublin, CA.

The ideal candidate will design data extraction processes, build reports and dashboards, and partner with accounting and finance to deliver actionable insights and ensure data quality. Strong SQL skills and experience with ERP/CRM data are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of SQL, Excel, ETL, and data analysis experience.
• Experience with Order to Cash, Billing, Contract Activation, Cash Process, and OTC processes.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Data Extraction: Collect and document business requirements via interviews, workshops, surveys, and analyses.
• Access and extract financial data from ERP/CRM systems using SQL queries and data extraction tools.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to automate data extraction processes.
• Data Cleaning and Transformation: Clean and standardize extracted data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Data Analysis: Conduct descriptive and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Reporting and Visualization: Create comprehensive financial reports and dashboards to communicate key insights.
• Collaboration: Work with accounting, finance, and operations teams to identify data needs and interpret analysis results.
