Job summary

Aon is seeking a Data and AI Solutions Architect for a hybrid role with flexibility to work from Chicago, New York City or Bloomington, MN offices. Remote work is also open to highly qualified US candidates.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Azure cloud data stack, Gen AI, and DevOps practices, and will lead data-centric solution design, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field or equivalent industry experience.
• 8+ years of experience in a data intensive position.
• 3+ years building solutions in a DevOps first culture.
• Proven delivery of Gen AI capabilities in production.
• Strong knowledge of cloud storage/compute (Azure) and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Influence leaders in development, client operations, and IT infrastructure to plan and prioritize work.
• Partner with project and product teams to embrace emerging technologies.
• Develop and research technologies such as Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake, Azure SQL, Data Factory, and more.
• Help define data-centric solutions to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams on data architecture, design strategies, and implementation.
• Perform testing with criteria, scripts, and result documentation.
• Provide ongoing support for applications including on-call support.
• Create and maintain documentation per established processes.
• Perform other duties and project work as needed.
