Amentum invites applications for a Damage Tolerance Intern at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on fatigue and fracture mechanics analyses, data evaluation using ASTM standards, and developing programs to handle large material datasets.

Interns will work with ESSCA engineers and NASA customers, supporting test planning, data collection, and test data delivery to space-flight hardware design teams. Hybrid on-site work is expected.

Qualificações

• BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field
• Minimum 0-5 years’ experience
• ABET accreditation preferred
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required

Responsabilidades

• Problem solve using fatigue and fracture mechanics fundamentals.
• Utilize ASTM standards to evaluate data sets for material information.
• Create programs to analyze large datasets and expand material characterization.
• Execute crack-case analyses to determine life expectancy and critical sizes.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet project timelines.
