Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Junior Stress Analyst to join our team supporting NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. You will perform structural analysis tasks, develop finite element models, and apply loads to assess margins of safety for flight hardware and ground support equipment.

You will collaborate with engineers, prepare analytical reports, and ensure compliance with NASA standards such as NASA-STD-5019 and 5020. Strong communication and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Familiarity with MS Office.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support structural analysis tasks for NASA/JSC Structures Branch.
• Create finite element models using PATRAN, FEMAP, or MSC/MARC.
• Perform hand calculations to determine margins of safety.
• Prepare structural analysis reports and collaborate on resolutions.
