Kuraray America, Inc. seeks a Cybersecurity Specialist to safeguard our IT and OT environments in a hybrid Houston setting. You will monitor threats, respond to incidents, and manage security tools while aligning with NIST and ISO 27001 standards.

The role emphasizes vulnerability management, policy development, and disaster recovery planning, with a focus on protecting our manufacturing and chemical operations. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years in cybersecurity.
• Experience with SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, and incident response.
• Familiarity with NIST/ISO 27001 and regulatory compliance.
• Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents across IT and OT environments.
• Identify and respond to penetration attempts, malware, and other threats.
• Maintain and manage security tools including firewalls and IDS/IPS systems.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and remediation.
• Help develop security policies and support audits and compliance.
