Job summary

Trupanion seeks a Cybersecurity Analyst to support day-to-day Security Operations and Incident Response, monitoring threats, investigating events, and coordinating remediation across identity, endpoint, cloud, and data-protection technologies.

The role includes threat intelligence, vulnerability management collaboration, and runbook updates; open to candidates in the Seattle area with a hybrid schedule and a pet-friendly, collaborative office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity operations, incident response, or related work.
• Experience investigating alerts using SIEM, EDR/XDR, identity, cloud, or network technologies.
• Knowledge of attacker techniques, phishing, malware, and data exfiltration.
• Experience applying threat intelligence to vulnerability prioritization and incident analysis.
• Experience with security automation or scripting and case management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage alerts across identity, endpoint, email, network, cloud, and data-protection technologies.
• Investigate phishing, account compromise, malware, ransomware, and data exposure events.
• Coordinate containment actions and changes with Technology Operations.
• Collect evidence and support eradication, recovery validation, and follow-up.
• Analyze threat intelligence, campaigns, and indicators for relevance to Trupanion.
• Perform hypothesis-driven hunts using MITRE ATT&CK framework and document findings.
• Maintain and improve automation workflows and playbooks for alert enrichment and response.
