Job summary

Thomas Scientific is a leading distributor of laboratory products, equipment, chemicals, and supplies. The Customer Experience Agent acts as the primary contact for customers via phone, email, chat, and web, owning each interaction end to end to ensure a seamless experience.

Responsibilities include order entry, pricing confirmation, tracking, quotes, and cross-functional coordination to resolve issues and improve service metrics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years in customer service/order management/inside sales or contact-center in distribution, manufacturing, or B2B.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer-first approach.
• Comfort with order-management/CRM/eCommerce systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers across channels.
• Manage full order lifecycle: input, pricing confirmation, tracking, and backorders.
• Provide product information and basic application guidance to help select items.
• Prepare, send, and follow up on quotes and bids, including pricing where applicable.
