CNH Industrial is seeking a Cost Optimization Engineer in Oak Brook, IL, to drive margin improvements across mechanical, powertrain, metallic and electrical commodities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Purchasing, Logistics and Suppliers to screen, prioritize and execute cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with cost management, supplier engagement and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Cost Optimization engineer for multiple commodity clusters and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Prioritize cost-saving opportunities and build a roadmap to support annual purchasing targets.
• Lead ideation, benchmarking, and workshops to drive cost-down strategies.
• Develop and apply cost modeling tools to analyze components and support sourcing decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Purchasing, Logistics and other functions to ensure timely delivery and measurable impact.
• Provide technical leadership in VA/VE activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Challenge designs, materials, processes and technology choices to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
• Review product designs to ensure commercially optimized solutions across commodity groups.
