Onward Legal Innovation is seeking an Innovation Attorney to drive firmwide AI operational transformation, shaping generative AI strategies and standardizing legal delivery for a top-tier corporate practice. The role designs AI workflows, playbooks, and tools for M&A and finance teams, with a hybrid in-office requirement.

Based in any U.S. office with a 3-day-per-week hybrid arrangement, the position offers high visibility and potential for impactful change across the firm’s practice areas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of corporate attorney or legal innovation experience in an Am Law setting.
• Deep knowledge of corporate transactions including M&A, private equity, or finance.
• Hands-on experience building AI legal workflows and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Redesign corporate workflows, clause libraries, playbooks, and document automation.
• Develop AI prompts and use cases across M&A, PE, and finance.
• Lead attorney enablement, workshops, and change management for legal tech.
• Partner with business development on tech-enabled client pitches and RFPs.
• Direct cross-functional innovation projects from concept to ROI measurement.
