Job summary

Onward Legal Innovation seeks an Innovation Attorney to lead firmwide AI transformation, shaping generative AI strategies and standardizing legal delivery across corporate practice. You will build AI workflows, playbooks, and tech-enabled tools for M&A and finance teams.

The role is based in any U.S. office with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office per week, offering high visibility and compensation up to $240k plus bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as corporate attorney or in legal innovation within a large Am Law setting.
• Deep knowledge of corporate transactions such as M&A, private equity, or finance.
• Hands-on experience building AI-enabled legal workflows and tools.

Responsibilities

• Redesign corporate workflows, clause libraries, playbooks, and document automation.
• Develop practical AI prompts and use cases for legal teams across M&A, PE, and finance.
• Drive attorney enablement, workshops, and change management for legal tech adoption.
• Partner with business development on technology-enabled client pitches and RFPs.
• Direct cross-functional innovation projects from concept through ROI measurement.

Innovation Attorney required by progressive International AM Law50 legal firm to drive firmwide AI operational transformation by shaping cutting-edge generative AI strategies and standardizing legal delivery across a top-tier corporate practice. In this high-impact, practice-embedded role, you will redefine legal service delivery by developing AI workflows, playbooks, and tech-enabled tools for M&A and finance teams.

Can be based in any U.S. office. (all major U.S. markets). - Hybrid role 3 days per week

NYC, Washington DC, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, LA, Miami, San Francisco, Palo Alto. (Base salary dependent on Location)
