Job summary

McGuireWoods LLP is seeking a Legal AI Solutions Lead to advance our Innovation and AI Department. You will identify AI-enabled workflows for attorneys and business teams, evaluate use cases, and collaborate with practice groups to design and deploy solutions.

The role requires 4+ years in a law firm or in-house legal setting, 2+ years AI experience, strong communication, and ability to navigate IT and legal leadership. Hybrid work options and broad office availability are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or advanced degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 4+ years in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• 2+ years of AI experience in a professional setting.
• Experience working with attorneys and familiarity with legal workflows.
• Ability to collaborate across IT, legal teams, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Identify and build AI-enabled workflows that improve attorney and business professional productivity.
• Evaluate AI use cases and advise on solutions aligned with firm AI strategy.
• Partner with practice leadership to design, implement, and scale AI tools.
• Lead regular stakeholder meetings to scope challenges and tailor solutions.
• Communicate with attorneys, vendors, and IT to diagnose use cases and drive adoption.
• Document use case specs, limitations, and results for leadership review.
• Oversee pilot onboarding/offboarding and summarize evaluations for senior leaders.
