Job summary

Massachusetts Financial Services Company (MFS) offers a Summer Internship in Finance. The 10-12 week program runs June 9, 2027 to August 13, 2027, with interns working full-time (Mon-Fri), 35-40 hours/week, paid hourly. The role is a hybrid on-site/remote position, and all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Interns will gain exposure to investing and financial operations. As part of the Finance team, you will perform GL analysis, assist in close, prepare journal entries,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monthly analysis of general ledger accounts and activity.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support the Corporate Balance Sheet Review process.
• Involvement in the monthly financial statement close process.
• Assist in preparation of journal entries in general ledger.
• Assist in oversight of the calculation and reporting of financial intermediary payments.
• Ad hoc projects and analysis as required.
