Job summary

Columbia Safety Services, LLC is seeking a Corporate Accountant Business Partner in Seattle. The role shares ownership of AP, payroll-related accounting, sales tax, licensing, fleet compliance, and month-end close across multiple entities.

You will report to the Controller and collaborate with a lean accounting team in a growing, multi-state group. The position requires five+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage diverse processes with minimal

Qualifications

• Five+ years of accounting experience including AP, payroll-related accounting, and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel proficiency with pivot tables and lookups and custom reporting.
• Experience with general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with financial information.
• Willing to reside in Seattle, WA or relocate before start date; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Handle AP: process vendor invoices and code to entities and accounts.
• Manage AP payments (checks, ACH, wires) with approval controls.
• Process payroll-related entries and assist with payroll filings.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile related accounts.
• File monthly/quarterly sales tax returns and renew licenses.
• Support month-end close and multi-entity reconciliations.
• Maintain vehicle/fleet compliance and records.
• Build Excel schedules for reconciliations and reporting.
