Frolic Community is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations across the company and its development entity LLCs. Reporting to the Controller, you will own core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and month-end close in a dynamic small-team environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or similar finance role.
• Solid working knowledge of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger coding.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Bill payment platforms such as Bill.com.
• High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and the broader Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 suite.
• Strong attention to detail and a track record of accurate, timely work.
• Ability to manage multiple entities and priorities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to coordinate with vendors, team members, and leadership.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Process and code incoming invoices across multiple entities, ensuring correct GL categorization and timely entry into Bill.com and accounting systems.
• Manage accounts payable workflows, including tracking due dates, preparing weekly payables reports, and coordinating payment runs with CFO approval.
• Support accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including bank reconciliations, accrual entries, and financial data review.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready records of all financial transactions across Frolic Community Inc. and its Development Entity LLCs.
• Coordinate with the Controller on reporting for development managers and project-level financial summaries.
• Liaise with vendors and payees on invoice corrections, new payee onboarding (W-9s, payment setup), and general inquiries.
• Support payroll coordination, expense reporting, and other finance-adjacent administrative tasks as needed.
