Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. seeks a Corporate Accountant I to manage major monthly close functions for a multinational company. You'll perform account reconciliations, variance analyses, and GL journal entries, while supporting multiple corporate functions. Hybrid role based in Stamford, CT.

Ideal candidates hold a accounting degree, with CPA preferred, and have strong Excel and communication skills. Travel and cross-functional collaboration are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required or preferred.
• CPA or other accounting designations preferred.
• Public and/or private accounting experience helpful.
• Strong Excel and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly close processes and account reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations; explain fluctuations and research transactions.
• Provide timely and accurate general ledger journal entries and analyses.
• Maintain roll-forward schedules for GL accounts.
• Analyze and explain income statement and balance sheet fluctuations.
• Support Corporate Functions and provide data-driven recommendations.
