Job summary

Tolomatic is hiring a Controls Engineer to apply automation and motion control expertise across integrated motor products and custom systems. You will develop controls software, implement CANopen, EtherNet/IP, and other protocols, and ensure subsystem compatibility with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires hands-on design, testing, and documentation of electrical and mechanical control architectures, with collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• At least two years of automation and control systems experience.
• Experience with PLCs, servo/stepper drives, sensors, and industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and document controls for integrated motor products and motion systems.
• Develop motion libraries and PLC logic for control systems.
• Review architecture and interface compatibility for reliable integration.
• Execute work per SOWs and assist subcontractors.
• Develop and document test procedures and perform testing.
• Create electrical schematics and support wiring/debugging.
• Build and program control systems for automation test equipment.
• Provide technical support and training to customers and teams.
