Job summary

General Motors in Milford Charter Township, MI, is seeking an engineering professional to develop control strategies and diagnostics for GM’s portfolio. You will collaborate with Systems Engineers and other teams to define requirements and implement robust algorithms for vehicle systems, including software architecture, testing, and validation.

Qualifications

BS degree required in electrical, mechanical, computer engineering, computer science or related field.
Two years of experience in the job offered or related engineering position.
Two years of experience with embedded controls or controls software development; Simulink, MATLAB; and controls software development in C.

Responsibilities

Create new control strategies, diagnostics, and communication methods for GM portfolio.
Develop controls and diagnostics using common methods for VMEC features and support growth of emerging tech.
Develop algorithms for various vehicle features and systems; research and develop novel solutions across domains.
Collaborate with Systems Engineers to define vehicle, sub-system, and behavioral requirements; define tests from requirements.
