Job summary

COMHAR invites you to join our team as a Contractor Therapist providing outpatient behavioral health services in the Latino community. You will assess individuals (children or adults), develop recovery plans, and apply evidence-based practices to address mental/behavioral health and co-occurring substance use issues.

The role supports bilingual English/Spanish service delivery and may offer licensure supervision at select locations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field for licensure
• Active professional licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LSW, or equivalent) or pre-licensed with supervision
• Experience in behavioral health/substance use field
• Experience providing mental health/behavioral health therapy
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
• Licensure supervision available

Responsibilities

• Provides recovery-oriented screenings and comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments for individuals with substance use challenges when appropriate.
• Provides individual and group therapy to address addictive behaviors using evidence-based practices.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and supervision to review progress and coordinate care.
• Develops treatment plans focusing on recovery from a strengths-based perspective.
• Completes assessments, reports, and screening tools (PHQ-9, CAGE-Aid, PTSD, etc.).
• Maintains and updates community resources and shares with the team.
• Completes all clinical documentation and required paperwork on time.
• Participates in clinical training and agency meetings for mandated hours.
• Adheres to program requirements and ethical standards.
• Plans to increase community tenure and independent functioning.
• Manages active caseload with scheduling and discharge/aftercare planning.
