Job summary

COMHAR is seeking a Bilingual Contractor Outpatient Therapist to provide comprehensive assessments and recovery-oriented treatment for individuals with mental health and/or substance use needs in the Philadelphia area. The role supports families, adheres to evidence-based practices, and offers a hybrid schedule with in-office and remote work possibilities.

The position requires a Master’s degree, active licensure or supervised status, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
• Active professional licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LSW, or equivalent) or pre-licensed with supervision.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish with strong reading and writing skills.
• Experience in behavioral health/substance use and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and complete documentation on time.

Responsibilities

• Provides recovery-oriented assessments and bio-psycho-social evaluations, including substance use considerations.
• Offers individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings and supervision to ensure coordinated care.
• Prepares treatment plans focused on recovery and community integration.
• Completes clinical documentation and required paperwork within deadlines.
• Engages in required clinical trainings and meetings to meet licensure or program requirements.
