Job summary

STI in Richmond, VA is seeking a Content Writer for a 6+ month contract. The role is hybrid, on-site at least 3 days per week, supporting the Customer Service Division of DPU to create SOPs, job aids, FAQs, and operating procedures.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, edit content to branding standards, maintain SOP framework, and deliver timely updates using Microsoft 365 tools, Teams, and Canva.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, content creation, or similar in a utility or operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Content development: SOPs, job aids, FAQs, newsletters, and other content for employee use.
• Collaborate with business owners and staff to capture needs and translate into clear content.
• Edit content to ensure voice, grammar, and style align with branding guidelines.
• Develop and maintain a standard operating procedure framework.
• Review and update information on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Create and schedule process reminders and distribute changes via Microsoft Teams.
• Respond to urgent content requests and deliver high-quality materials on tight deadlines.
