JOB SUMMARY
The Planner Scheduler I ensures successful execution of our projects by developing and maintaining detailed schedules and plans. The position will work under the limited supervision of the Project Controls Manager or assigned Project Manager to coordinate activities and optimize timelines. Collaborates cross-functionally and externally with clients to ensure project scheduling efforts are aligned with project objectives and milestones.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Independently develops construction schedules using industry standard software such as Primavera P6 to effectively plan project activities from initiation to completion.
- Collaborates with project managers to identify resource requirements and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project objectives while optimizing costs.
- Monitors progress against established schedules, identifies deviations, and works with senior schedulers to propose corrective actions to ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
- Identifies potential risks and delays in project schedules and develops recommendations on mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and budget.
- Provides regular updates on project schedules, milestones, and critical path activities to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Maintains accurate records of project schedules, changes, and updates, and generates reports as required to support decision making processes and project performance evaluation.
- Identifies opportunities for process optimization and improvement in scheduling practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes; leads process improvement initiatives.
- May oversee or direct the work of less experienced staff.
- Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies (including client’s) while promoting the Company’s safety culture.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Associates degree in a field related to construction; bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field strongly preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in planning/scheduling activities on industrial construction projects.
- Working knowledge of construction industry standards and project management.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge including at least high proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Highly proficient in Primavera P6.
- PMP Certification strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Working Conditions
- Will work in an office and job site setting (indoors/outdoors).
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity.
- Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Frequently communicate with other members of the team. Must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.
- Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
- Non-routine hours are required at times
- On-site role that requires attendance to an office or a job site
