Job summary

GFT is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Construction Services Team in Wilmington, NC. This role requires regular attendance at our Wilmington, NC office.

Responsibilities include leading meetings, scheduling, site visits, change orders, and QA/QC plans, with strong emphasis on safety and quality. A BS in Engineering/Construction Management and 10+ years of experience are preferred, with Procore proficiency beneficial.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Experience working with NCDOT is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in Procore or similar CM software preferred but not required.
• 10-hour OSHA Safety course.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and SharePoint Environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
• Prepares and monitors project schedules.
• Performs periodic construction observation and inspection checks.
• Possesses basic surveying interpretation skills.
• Prepares reports and correspondence.
• Prepares and checks quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
• Prepares construction payment applications.
• Negotiates and prepares construction change orders.
• Reviews submittals and other technical data.
• Proficient with construction management software for document management and scheduling.
• Performs constructability reviews and value engineering studies.
• Assists with Risk Management assessments.
• Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.
• Occasional Travel to and from project sites is expected.
