Job summary

Pierce County is seeking a Construction Project Manager 3 to oversee major building and capital projects in a hybrid environment, field and office based. The role requires independent decision-making to advance priorities while coordinating with consultants, maintenance staff, and tenants.

The successful candidate will manage scope, schedule, and budget, ensure safety and quality, and participate in ongoing professional development and performance reviews within the Facilities Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in related construction management fields.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead, facilitate, and plan project management tasks related to construction and remodel of major building or capital development projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, planners, designers, facility users, County and building maintenance staff, and other project managers to solve facility problems during design and construction.
• Proactively communicate with tenants, user departments, and the public regarding overall project status and problems during construction.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure design elements, materials, and operating performance meet requirements; discuss issues with consultants.
• Regularly report project status updates to County staff and the public via written, verbal, and web-based systems.
