Job summary

Middough Inc. is seeking a Major Projects Manager to lead large, complex engineering and construction projects from planning through closeout. You will drive scope, budgets, schedules, risk management and client satisfaction while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring profitability.

The role requires strong leadership, contract knowledge, and excellent communication, with a focus on safety and project delivery excellence across diverse programs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience managing complex projects in an engineering and construction environment.
• Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or Architecture.
• PMP certification.
• Experience with contract and liability issues.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and all levels within the company.
• Ability to multi-task and be highly organized for effective project planning.
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the priority in planning and execution.
• Lead the proposal team in defining project scope, budgets, and strategies.
• Assign team members and execute the project per contract requirements.
• Plan and schedule with proactive planning, track deliverables, and manage schedules.
• Lead meetings with schedules and action items.
• Oversee engineering, project support services and construction through project close out.
• Manage changes in scope/schedule/cost and secure approvals.
• Prepare specifications/scopes for subcontractors and major equipment suppliers.
• Manage project revenue, costs, and quality to ensure profitability and performance.
• Prepare monthly and client progress reports.
• Engage project controls to develop a Work Breakdown Structure.
• Identify and address key project issues and risks.
• Support business development activities.
