Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee Build-to-Suit projects for manual facilities, from planning through startup and hand-off to field operations.

Position entails collaborating with internal planning, design, procurement, real estate, IT, finance, environmental, and legal teams, and managing vendors and contractors. Hybrid role with travel to Pittsburgh sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, construction project management or related area required.
• Advanced degree may offset experience requirements.
• Strong knowledge of engineering project management and construction documentation.
• Microsoft Office and web-based applications proficiency.
• Ability to read construction documents and specifications.
• Experience collaborating with multiple internal departments and external vendors.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility or material handling projects through planning, construction, and startup stages.
• Coordinate with internal planning, design, procurement, real estate, IT, finance, environmental, and legal departments.
• Contract and manage developers, GCs, and architectural/engineering firms.
• Coordinate with local jurisdictions to obtain Certificates of Occupancies and ensure compliance.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and forecasts; manage vendor testing and commissioning.
• Travel to job sites to monitor progress and coordinate with vendors.
