GFT in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services Team.

This role oversees field work to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standards, acting as the daily point of contact with clients and contractors. You will perform observations, material testing, maintain documentation, and help manage project documents using AASHTOWare, e-Builder, or Transport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 0-4 years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience in construction, inspection, material testing, or transportation engineering for highway projects and structures on MODOT, municipal, or related projects.
• A safety-first mindset.
• Strong writing, listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and oversee construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Serve as daily point of contact with clients and contractors; manage observations, material testing and documentation.
• Record quantities of materials received or used; develop pay estimates and change orders.
• Maintain daily construction and inspection logs; monitor work activities.
• Ensure safety practices and proper work methods are followed.
• Manage documents using platforms such as AASHTOWare, e-Builder, or Transport.
