Job summary

Wainwright Talent Partners seeks a Construction Estimator for Hartford to lead cost estimates for multiple projects from concept through bid. The role supports procurement, subcontractor prequalification and buyout, and collaborates with design teams to ensure accurate, timely and profitable bids.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in engineering, construction management or related field and has 5–15 years of estimating experience, with deep knowledge of CM and GC delivery methods, BIM, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
5-15 years of estimating experience, preferably in construction.
Thorough understanding of estimating costs in CM (GMAX) and GC (lump sum) delivery methods and related cost impacts.
Experience with bidding and procurement processes, preconstruction services and means & methods.
Proficiency with cost estimating processes using estimating templates and construction software.
Ability to multi-task and work under tight time constraints.

Responsibilities

Review documents from conceptual to bid to develop accurate estimates for costs and costs implications.
Coordinate all matters related to construction cost estimating, bidding, procurement, buyout and change order pricing.
Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors and manage bid documentation and comparisons.
Maintain bidder databases and ensure compliance with bonding and insurance costs in estimates.
Assist with schedule, logistics, and risk assessments to support competitive bids.
Support project managers and other departments with estimating data and analyses.
