Job summary

ZipApply seeks a Construction Controller to lead the accounting function for a growing construction firm in the Metro Atlanta area. You will drive accurate financial reporting, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

The role requires strong skills in job costing, budgeting, and cross-department collaboration, with a focus on financial strategy and oversight of external audits and payroll reporting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in construction accounting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and construction industry compliance standards.
• Experience coordinating audits, budgeting, forecasting, and job costing.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Perform job costing, WIP reporting, and AIA billing.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership on financial strategy.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and insurance requirements.
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate payroll and benefits reporting.
