Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer for connected vehicle features. You will define requirements, govern cloud-to-vehicle interfaces, and validate supplier implementations against Ford architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, and customer experience standards.

You will own cloud integration, OTA update governance, and fleet-telematics services, collaborating with product, engineering, and suppliers to deliver secure, scalable connected experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in systems engineering, preferably with telematics.
• 5+ years defining/reviewing connected product architectures.
• Experience coordinating with internal teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Define connected-vehicle requirements: technical, security, privacy, safety, and regulatory.
• Own Ford cloud interfaces and connectivity architecture.
• Define data models, signals, and event mappings for Ford features.
• Lead supplier integration and ensure alignment with Ford standards.
• Govern cloud activation/deactivation, account linking, and VIN workflows.
• Oversee OTA/software-update governance and fleet-telematics data handling.
