Job summary

Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP seeks a Conflicts Attorney to identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest and related professional-responsibility matters across the firm. The role supports new business, lateral hiring, onboarding, and ethics reviews, working with attorneys and firm leadership.

It involves reviewing conflicts searches, research, and preparing recommendations, with oversight from the Director of Ethics.

Qualifications

• J.D. required and U.S. bar admission preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of conflicts-of-interest experience at a large law firm.
• Strong research, organization, and reporting skills.
• Ability to supervise and manage confidential information.
• Experience with conflicts databases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts and ethical issues under supervision.
• Review conflicts search results and first-level analysis.
• Provide guidance to attorneys conducting conflicts reviews.
• Gather due-diligence information for Ethics Committee and firm management.
• Draft ethics screens and Rule 1.11 disclosures.
• Monitor developments in professional-responsibility standards.
• Oversee staff performing conflicts-of-interest analysis.
