Job summary

Arnold & Porter is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest and related professional-responsibility matters. This hybrid role may be located in multiple offices nationwide and involves reviewing conflicts, conducting research, and presenting findings.

The position requires a J.D., bar admission in at least one jurisdiction, and experience in conflicts or professional responsibility. The anticipated base salary is $177,280 to $225,000.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and bar admission preferred; strong research and writing ability required.
• Experience in conflicts of interest and professional responsibility preferred.
• Ability to conduct legal research and manage complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts for new business and lateral hires.
• Review conflicts search results and provide first-level analysis.
• Draft engagement letters and conflict waivers; assist with ethics screens.
• Provide professional-responsibility training to attorneys and staff.
• Monitor developments in applicable law and standards.
• Supervise staff performing conflicts-of-interest analysis.
