Job summary

Foley & Lardner LLP seeks a Conflicts Analyst (Lateral) to manage the end-to-end conflict research and identification process for onboarding new and lateral attorneys. Under guidance from the Deputy General Counsel, you will ensure ethical conflicts are resolved before hiring and advise candidates of any conflicts related to portable or prospective clients.

You will mentor junior staff and may train new employees, contributing to process improvements while handling day-to-day conflicts checks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of conflicts analysis experience required.
• Experience with lateral conflicts analysis required. #L I-Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Prepares initial conflicts summaries and identification of potential conflicts of interest for lateral attorneys and non-lawyers (paralegals, assistants, etc.)
• Prepares initial conflicts summaries and identification for lateral partners bringing portable clients to the firm
• Maintains and keeps several lateral candidate files organized
• Works with new lateral partners and their assistants to assist in expediting the opening of priority portable clients
• Works with the Deputy General Counsel to ensure conflicts are properly identified and communicated to the candidate prior to start date
• Works with the Supervisor, Lateral Conflicts and CNB Senior Manager to ensure ethics screens are erected
• Communicates between CNB and Information Governance/transfer teams regarding onboarding of lateral files
• Assists with other duties related to conflicts resolution and onboarding
• Performs other duties as assigned
