Job summary

Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to manage the full conflicts research and identification process for proposed new business. You will perform initial conflicts analyses, resolve and clear conflicts, and draft engagement and waiver letters, collaborating with attorneys and risk professionals.

This firm-wide role requires interaction across practice groups, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance with ethical rules governing lawyers while balancing multiple requests

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of five years in a professional environment or two years in a legal environment.
• Minimum of one year of conflicts analysis experience.
• Strong issue identification, research and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication, customer service, attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-depth conflicts research related to proposed new business, using internal and external databases to identify connections that may present conflicts of interest.
• Independently manages the conflicts research and identification process from submission through resolution and clearance.
• Reviews requests for completeness and communicates with partners and staff to obtain missing information.
• Prepares written conflicts analyses and drafts engagement and waiver letters.
• Develops working relationships with attorneys and risk stakeholders across offices and practice groups.
• Escalates high-risk issues and ensures timely resolution and compliance.
• Documents results in Intapp Open and firm systems; supports conflicts intake processes.
