Job summary

MidPen Housing is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join the Union City Office in a hybrid role. The specialist will independently review move-in applicant files for Stable and Lease-Up communities, ensuring program eligibility and adherence to HUD/LIHTC requirements.

The position emphasizes strong attention to detail, organization, and timely communication with properties. Responsibilities include file audits, certifications, and responding to compliance inquiries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to obtain Tax Credit Specialist/Certified Occupancy Specialist certifications.
• 2 years experience in Affordable Housing, Property Management, Leasing, Compliance, Real Estate, or related fields.
• HUD experience including TRACS and voucher processing is required.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve move-in files to ensure eligibility.
• Maintain workload using department tracking system.
• Communicate file review outcomes to properties.
