Job summary

Spire Inc. seeks a Compliance Engineer III to lead integrity management for transmission pipelines and oversee related compliance reporting. You will partner with engineering, operations, and safety teams to ensure adherence to CFR Part 191, 192, and 193, and support risk modeling and upgrade programs.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, contractor management, and strong communication skills to drive safety and reliability across the system.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in operations and engineering in a regulated natural gas distribution system.
• Familiarity with state and federal pipeline safety regulations.
• Knowledge of business systems, operating standards and replacement programs.
• Ability to effectively manage contractor employees to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to monitor and manage expenses related to projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and update the integrity management programs and assessments for pipelines and facilities.
• Complete risk assessments and risk modeling analysis for pipelines and facilities.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, replacement, and maintenance programs through prioritization modeling.
• Coordinate inspections and reviews with PHMSA, PSC, and internal audits as needed.
• Prepare state and federally required reports and documentation for transmission.
