National Debt Relief in New York City is seeking a Compliance Associate to join our Legal and Compliance team. This entry-level role offers broad exposure to contracting, regulatory compliance, and consumer financial services under supervision of the Director of Regulatory Compliance.

The role focuses on contract review, vendor management, regulatory filings, and business advisory matters, with opportunity for rapid ownership and growth in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; or bar results pending for New York admission.
• Entry-level; no prior post-graduate legal experience required.
• Experience in consumer financial services, contracting, privacy, or regulatory law is a plus.
• Ability to translate regulatory issues into practical business guidance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise commercial agreements under supervision.
• Prepare compliance analyses on transactional matters including privacy and vendor risk.
• Support contract lifecycle with internal stakeholders and policies.
• Collaborate with outside counsel on transactional and regulatory matters.
• Maintain records of contracts, approvals, and compliance reviews.
• Develop knowledge of State and Federal laws and industry regulations.
