Job summary

National Debt Relief, a leading US consumer debt relief provider, seeks a Compliance Associate to join its Legal and Compliance team in New York City. This entry-level role offers broad exposure to commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, and consumer financial services in a hybrid NYC office (2 days per week on-site).

The successful candidate will work under the Director of Regulatory Compliance, draft and review contracts, support regulatory filings, and develop practical business

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; or eligible pending bar results in New York.
• Entry-level; no post-graduate experience required.
• Experience in consumer financial services, contracts, privacy or regulatory law preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise commercial agreements and vendor contracts.
• Prepare regulatory and compliance analyses for transactional matters.
• Support contract terms, approvals, and policy adherence.
• Manage full contract lifecycle with business teams.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research on business transactions.
• Assist with regulatory filings, examinations, and inquiries.
• Collaborate with outside counsel on matters.
• Identify process improvements to reduce risk.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts and legal advice.
• Ensure policies remain compliant across areas.
• Prioritize items and manage deadlines.
• Develop knowledge of applicable State and Federal laws.
