Job summary
Permanent Placements LLC is seeking a Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Associate for its national Am Law client in San Diego. The attorney will handle sophisticated commercial disputes, working directly with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to private businesses, in state and federal courts.
The role offers hands-on litigation experience, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to trial preparation, depositions, and appeals in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active California Bar membership.
- 1–7 years of complex commercial litigation experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage significant case responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Represent corporate and business clients in complex commercial litigation matters.
- Manage all phases of litigation, including depositions, motions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
- Draft and argue substantive motions and pleadings; conduct legal research.
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and litigation teams on case strategy.
- Handle multiple matters in a fast-paced litigation environment.
