Permanent Placements LLC represents a nationally recognized Am Law firm seeking a Litigation Associate in San Diego with 1–7 years of complex commercial litigation experience. The role involves handling matters in both state and federal courts, with direct client contact across a broad spectrum of sophisticated business disputes.

The successful candidate will join a team handling disputes from Fortune 500 companies to private businesses, managing all phases of litigation, from strategy to trial

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.
• 1-7 years of complex commercial litigation experience.
• Experience handling motion practice, depositions, discovery, court appearances, mediation/arbitration, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Represent corporate and business clients in complex commercial litigation matters.
• Handle disputes including financial fraud, securities-related claims, contract breaches, fiduciary duty, and partnership/shareholder issues.
• Manage all phases of litigation: strategy, discovery, depositions, motions, court appearances, mediations/arbitrations, and trial prep.
• Draft and argue substantive motions and pleadings; conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and teams on case strategy; manage multiple matters in a fast-paced setting.

Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1-7 years of complex commercial litigation experience to join its Business & Commercial Litigation practice in San Diego.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking hands-on litigation experience across a broad range of sophisticated business disputes. The successful candidate will work directly with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to privately held businesses and entrepreneurs, handling matters in both state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

• Represent corporate and business clients in complex commercial litigation matters
• Handle disputes involving:
  • Financial fraud
  • Securities-related claims
  • Breach of contract
  • Breach of fiduciary duty
  • Partnership disputes
  • Shareholder disputes
  • Commercial lending and loan disputes
  • Construction litigation
  • UCC-related litigation
• Manage all phases of litigation, including:
  • Case assessment and strategy
  • Written discovery
  • Depositions
  • Motion practice
  • Court appearances
  • Mediations
  • Arbitrations

• Draft and argue substantive motions and pleadings
