Job summary

Meta’s Competitive Intelligence team seeks an analyst who merges analytics, data science, and market strategy to influence product direction. You will work on major initiatives with high ambiguity and complex technical needs, translating insights into strategic decisions.

You will synthesize 3P datasets, build models, and deliver actionable forecasts to shape how Meta builds and grows its products. Strong communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business intelligence, product analytics, or economic/strategy consulting in a tech environment.
• Demonstrated skill to ethically source, validate, and synthesize high-signal insights from people with privacy and integrity.
• Proficiency in Generative AI tools and prompt engineering to automate data analyses and synthesize insights.
• Practical working understanding of data-analytics tools and experience managing 1P and 3P datasets.
• Experience with SQL, Python, and/or R for data querying and analysis.
• Experience with causal inference and Bayesian aggregation methods.
• Strong communication and stakeholder presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and shape new analytics organizations or products.

Responsibilities

• Influence product direction through data-driven narratives and competitive landscape understanding.
• Operate at scale across ambiguous environments with econometrics knowledge.
• Develop statistical models and forecasts to inform market and business strategy.
• Onboard and evaluate 3P datasets for signal quality and predictive power.
• Triangulate data from multiple sources of imperfect information.
• Synthesize signals into high-fidelity trend reports using Bayesian methods.
• Apply quasi-experimental designs to assess market shocks and actions on internal metrics.
• Drive adoption of appropriate methods and best practices across the team.
