Job summary

Healthy Homes Coalition of West Michigan is seeking a part-time Communications & Development Specialist to lead external communications, donor engagement, and fundraising coordination. The role works closely with the Executive Director and committees to drive awareness and support for healthier housing initiatives.

The position requires strong writing, CRM experience, and event coordination, with a schedule that typically runs 8:30am–5:30pm Mon–Thu and 8:30am–12:30pm on Friday, plus occasional

Qualifications

• Associates degree in arts/science/communications/business administration or related field.
• Pleasant, outgoing and welcoming personality.
• Administrative experience with strong computer skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication and typing skills.
• CRM knowledge and data management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate external communications and donor communications.
• Maintain donor database with accuracy (Salesforce/DonorBox).
• Manage data entry, gift recording, acknowledgments and reporting.
• Plan and execute fundraising events including sponsorships and attendees.
• Develop corporate relationships for major donations.
• Prepare mailings and donor communications according to calendar.
