Job summary

Housing Resources Inc. seeks a part-time Communications Coordinator to support the agency's communications and marketing activities, helping raise visibility of programs, services, donations, and support.

The role involves broadening the organization's reach via social media from the Main Office in Kalamazoo. Key duties include assisting with the communications plan implementation, managing the website and electronic newsletter, creating outreach materials, and representing the agency at events

Qualifications

1-3 years of relevant experience or education in communications, marketing or related field.
General knowledge of and understanding of branding principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize activities and prioritize assignments.
Ability to use sound judgment.

Responsibilities

Assisting in the implementation of agency communications plan.
Assisting with the management of agency web site and electronic newsletter.
Creation of documents and other resources utilized for general outreach (e.g.,brochures, flyers, exhibit displays, etc.).
Assisting with the enhancement of agency social media activities including the drafting and uploading content as appropriate, and evaluating reach andengagement.
Represent the agency at resource and outreach events and activities.
Other activities as assigned.
