Job summary

Veregy, an award-winning decarbonization company based in Southern California, seeks a Commissioning Project Manager for a full-time hybrid role (Costa Mesa office and home) to manage multiple commissioning and energy-efficiency projects. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, and client relations from kickoff to closeout.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical engineering background, 3+ years of PM experience in building commissioning, and HVAC/energy system knowledge. Travel up to 35% (US).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; mechanical engineering preferred.
• Master’s degree in engineering preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC systems, energy efficiency concepts, and mechanical engineering principles required.
• 1–3 years of practical project management experience in building commissioning, retro commissioning, HVAC, energy, controls, and/or construction required.
• Willingness to travel at least 35% of the time, mostly in state, but occasionally across the United States.
• PE license toward licensure (EIT licensure) preferred; commissioning certification (BCxP, CCP, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages commissioning, retrocommissioning, energy consulting, and engineering projects.
• Oversees all aspects of a project including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of projects.
• Coordinates and leads project meetings with the client.
• Develops project deliverables, including reports, tests, Cx and M&V plans, and SOOs.
• Provides QC of final deliverables for quality and contractual compliance.
• Leads project teams and coordinates with sub-consultants.
• Generates, formats, distributes, and submits invoices.
