Orion Placement is recruiting a mid-to-senior commercial litigation attorney for our Baltimore office. The role involves handling complex disputes, drafting motions, and taking depositions, with direct client interaction and tight collaboration with a veteran legal team.

Requirements include a JD, active MD/VA/DE/DC/PA bar, and at least 2 years of attorney experience in commercial litigation. Hybrid schedule with one remote day per week is provided.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active bar admission in MD, VA, DE, DC, or PA.
• 2+ years of practicing attorney experience.
• 1+ years of commercial or business litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and client relationship skills.
• Law firm experience preferred; qualified in-house and solo practitioners encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Handle challenging commercial and business litigation matters from initial strategy through resolution.
• Draft compelling motions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and participate in courtroom proceedings.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts.
• Partner with experienced attorneys to develop creative, effective litigation strategies.
• Work directly with business clients, financial institutions, and corporate stakeholders.
• Navigate complex disputes involving contracts, creditors' rights, financial services, and commercial transactions.
