Qualifications

• High school diploma required; higher degrees preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire where applicable.
• Prior claim handling or insurance/customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and empathy for customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of low to moderate complexity commercial claims per policy and documentation.
• Provide timely updates to insureds and partners; meet quality and cycle-time targets.
• Verify coverage, establish reserves, and follow claim handling protocols.
• Investigate claims; take statements and consult with experts to verify facts.
• Collaborate with internal/external resources to facilitate best outcomes.
• Authorize disbursements within authority; negotiate settlements as needed.
• Identify subrogation or fraud opportunities and refer to SIU as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state/local insurance laws and guidelines.
