Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking an experienced claims professional to manage commercial auto claims with moderate to high complexity. The role offers a flexible, hybrid schedule with 2 days per week in CNA office locations.

Responsibilities include investigating, evaluating, and resolving claims while meeting quality, timeliness, and customer service standards. Requires a Bachelor's degree and insurance adjuster license within 90 days where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in claim handling.
• Must obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire, where applicable.
• Professional designations are a plus (e.g. CPCU)

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of commercial claims by following company protocols to verify policy coverage, conduct investigations, develop and employ resolution strategies, and authorize disbursements within authority limits.
• Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with insureds, claimants and business partners, delivering timely updates and responding to inquiries.
• Verifies coverage and establishes timely reserves by reviewing policy language and consulting with coverage counsel on more complex matters.
• Conducts focused investigations to determine compensability, liability and damages by gathering information and statements.
• Develops relationships with internal and external partners to resolve claims effectively.
• Authorizes settlements within authority limits and escalates to manager as appropriate.
• Contributes to expense management by resolving claims efficiently and overseeing resources.
• Identify subrogation/salvage opportunities or potential fraud and refer to Recovery or SIU.
• Maintains compliance with state/local regulatory requirements and company guidelines.
• Mentors less experienced claim professionals if needed.
