Job summary

The Graduate Center of the City University of New York is seeking a part-time College Assistant for the M.S. Program in Cognitive Neuroscience. This hybrid role combines on-site and remote work, with a cap of 926 hours per year and a wage of $22.37 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate sufficient skills to perform the duties.
• MS Office Suite proficiency preferred.
• Familiar with PC and Mac.
• Excellent communicator and writer.
• Excellent interpersonal relationships.
• Team player / takes directions well.
• Experience with Survey Monkey / Doodle Poll/ Qualtrics.
• Graphic design and web design experience.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks for the Cognitive Neuroscience program and CNC.
• Coordinate open house, orientation, workshops, and special events.
• Provide CUNYfirst student support.
• Maintain program forms, mailing lists, student records, and databases.
• Respond to student and faculty inquiries.
• Update program websites.
• Schedule advisement appointments.
• Schedule faculty/executive committee meetings.
• Assist with program student and faculty elections.
• Create flyers and invitations; set up Eventbrite.
• Maintain student handbooks.
• Assist with purchase requisitions for events and promotional items.
• Distribute course evaluations to students.
• Assist with other duties as necessary.
