Job summary

Mattel Game Studios seeks a Senior Platform Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure & Live Services, to own cloud infra, pipelines, and monitoring for global mobile games. You will automate, troubleshoot production issues, and help developers deploy and operate at scale across internal studios and external partners.

The role emphasizes Terraform, GCP, CI/CD, and security, with collaboration across production teams and support teams.

Qualifications

8+ years in infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE with production releases.
Strong hands-on experience with GCP networking, compute, storage, IAM and services.
Terraform experience and scripting with version control and code review.

Responsibilities

Own cloud infrastructure and design APIs, databases, caching, hosting, and cloud cost planning.
Automate infra with Terraform and scripts; ensure repeatable environments.
Own build and deployment pipelines; collaborate with studios on packaging and releases.
Develop monitoring, alerts, and automated reporting for production systems.
Improve reliability; troubleshoot incidents and participate in on-call and recovery tests.
Collaborate with Security and Privacy teams on credentials and data protection.
Build full-stack integrations with game clients and backend services; support live ops.
Guide external studios on infrastructure during scoping, deployment, and handoffs.
Provide technical leadership and document decisions for future support.
