Job summary

Mattel Game Studios seeks an experienced Senior Platform Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure & Live Services, to own cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and monitoring for scalable mobile games. You will automate workflows, fix production issues, and help developers deploy their applications, while contributing to publishing tools and live ops.

You will collaborate with production teams, studios, and security/privacy groups to deliver reliable services, with on-going on-call and capacity

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps or SRE with production releases.
• Strong GCP experience including networking, compute, storage, IAM and services.
• Hands-on Terraform and scripting with version control discipline.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and related tooling.
• Ability to analyze logs/metrics for reliability, capacity and cost.
• Knowledge of web infrastructure (CDN, DNS, TLS, load balancing).
• Full-stack deployment familiarity across frontend/backend services.
• Experience with external studios/vendors on planning and standards.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical background.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate cloud infrastructure and GCP environments for games and backend services.
• Automate infrastructure and workflows using Terraform and scripts.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, build servers, and deployment infrastructure.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and automated reporting for studios/leaders.
• Improve service reliability; troubleshoot incidents and test restores.
• Ensure security with respect to credentials and data protection.
• Develop full-stack integrations and operational dashboards.
• Guide planning with external studios from scope to launch.
• Provide technical leadership and maintain clear documentation.
