Job summary

Kairos Power is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer II to support end-user computing and core infrastructure services at the Alameda, CA site. You will work on hardware, cloud, and on-premises infrastructure, building automated, secure solutions to enable engineering and manufacturing operations, with emphasis on reliability and standardization.

The role requires hands-on experience with cloud platforms, IaC, and collaboration across security, facilities, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong IT background.
• 4+ years in network, systems, or infrastructure engineering in a medium-to-large organization.
• Experience supporting datacenter operations, networking, and systems infrastructure.
• Hands-on with at least one cloud IaaS platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Terraform/Ansible/Puppet/Chef).
• Experience in regulated environments and manufacturing contexts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain cloud and on‑premises infrastructure resources using IaC where practical.
• Design and manage hybrid infrastructure across offices, labs, and datacenters.
• Troubleshoot network, systems, and application issues to improve reliability.
• Develop automated solutions to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Administer server, identity, endpoint, and cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Collaborate with security, engineering, manufacturing, and facilities teams to meet requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors to implement secure infrastructure solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation, standards, and diagrams.
• Lead infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and incident response.
